Home Visit
I. HOME VISIT
We believe confinement is practiced to help a mother to recover from the physiological impacts of pregnancy and delivery, and to revive her health during this vulnerable period. This is the time where emotional support from close family members is vital; one way to show support is by helping with daily chores such as cooking to give the mother opportunities to rest. The mother’s diet should be modified to aid her recovery, and she needs to be protected against activities and environments known to cause illnesses. Our Rescue Team is here to help with the problems that might arise during the confinement period.
II. LACTATION CONSULTING
Breastfeeding is the best and most natural way to feed babies. It provides all the essential nutrients your baby needs during the first six month of life, satisfying their hunger and thirst at the same time. It also helps to create a loving bond between mums and babies. The key to successful breastfeeding is comfortable positioning and good attachment. Some mothers find breastfeeding naturally easy, while there are lots of new mums who lacked hands-on knowledge about breastfeeding, which often leads to frustration and reduced nutrition delivered to the baby. Little Whales’ team includes professional midwives who can visit you at home to guide you through breastfeeding.
III. SETTLING BABIES AT NIGHT TIME
Babies express their needs by crying, anytime during the day or night and new parents often feel frustrated for not knowing what to do. We provide overnight care to you and your babies, which means we will help you to understand the intentions behind your baby’s cries and identify their specific needs through observations and prompt responses. We can teach you how to handle the baby’s cries at night, hence maximising parents’ rest time.
